The Burden Of Love

Love is random. It hits you unexpectedly and you find yourself attached to a person that may not share the same feelings as you do to him.

And as much as we'd like it to be false, most of the times, the feeling isn't mutual.

So that's when the hurting and suffering starts, and that's why many people hate love.

When someone loves you, you feel like you owe him something, you feel like you should behave in a certain way.

You start to sabotage their feelings towards you, even try to lead them to hate you.

Sometimes, you even agree to the so called love and try to fake it just so the other person can be happy, it's like a bargain chip to your uneased conscious.

But it's all a scam, you're lying to yourself and lying to the other person, you shouldn't feel guilty if you don't share the same feeling as the other person. 

You shouldn't behave in a certain. You shouldn't fake love just so the other person gets to be happy for a short period of time.

They may hate you for it, for rejecting them. But if they rationalize it and push aside their feelings, they should see that it's selfish to expect love.

Love is unexpected.

It came to you knocking without warning but sadly it didn't knock back to the other person. So you just got to love them unconditionally. Because that's what love is.

It's unconditional.

Sometimes the feeling of the other side is so overwhelming that deep down you start to get an illusionary feeling, a feeling of love, as if it is mutual. 

And the worst thing you can do, is say I love you back. Because when you say I love you, it's a like a bond, a promise that you should keep. And sadly, the feeling slowly fades away, and you're trapped in a promise you know you can't or won't keep.

So, just play again the roulette of love. And pray to the good fortunes that you and your soon to be loved land on the same holy ground, so the both of you get to experience the joy of seeing the sparkle in their eyes as they see you. To love and to be loved.

It may sound like a distant dream but its close.

Just keep your fingers crossed, and hope for the best.
